The Nautical-Inspired Noah x adidas Originals Collection is officially unveiled

get your surf on with the nautical-inspired Noah x adidas Originals Collection, an eco-friendly line of sneakers constructed from recycled ocean plastics. The collaboration sees the brand with the three stripes team up with ex-Supreme director and Noah founder Brandon Babenzien, on two footwear silhouettes inspired by Babenzien’s memories of growing up in long Island and his passion for aquatic life and running.

The Noah nyc x adidas Originals shoes echo both the footwear brand and the designer’s sustainable commitment to reduce waste and protect the ocean by utilising Prime Blue — a high-performance recycled knit material, developed by adidas and Parley ocean Plastics.

Influenced by the German footwear giant’s sporting heritage, the adidas Originals by Noah Collection combines high-performance running technology with archival aesthetics. Infusing his laid-back skater style into the collection, Babenzien offers his nautical streetwear take on the two headline kicks.

The reimagined SL72 trainer is inspired by the oceanside lifestyle; there are hues of aqua green and ocean blue with the recycled Prime Blue on the uppers and a suede teal detailing along with white laces. The SL20 lightweight runner also gets a contemporary reworking with black Prime Blue uppers developed from yarns and ocean waste, nicely contrasted with the pristine white laces. Rounding off the adidas Originals by Noah Collection is the shell-graphic Noah nyc logo on the tongues and of course, the signature three stripes branding.

If you can’t make an oceanside run, don’t sweat – these kicks are designed with the streets and the beach in mind so get ready to cop the Noah nyc x adidas Originals when it arrives on August 27. While you’re here, get your first look of the Y-3 Runner 4D IO before it drops!
